About Us

Specializing in providing educational evaluations for children and adolescents.

We provide services to children and adolescents to evaluate for a learning disability, developmental delay, Autism Spectrum Disorder, emotional/behavioral disability, and gifted programming. The goal of our services are to help determine a student's academic, behavioral, and emotional needs, identify their strengths and weaknesses, and assist in educational planning.

Educational Evaluations

We offer gifted, learning, developmental/autism
spectrum, and emotional/behavioral evaluations.

Gifted Evaluations

Gifted testing is conducted to determine if a child meets the gifted eligibility criteria for placement in an enriched program at school. These evaluations include a standardized intellectual assessment and a parent interview.

Developmental/Autism Spectrum Evaluations

Developmental/autism spectrum evaluations include evaluating important aspects of a child's social interactions, communication, and behavior. These evaluations include a standardized academic achievement and intellectual assessment, behavioral observations, parent and teacher rating scales, and a parent developmental interview.

Learning Evaluations

Learning evaluations can be useful in determining a child's learning abilities and style of learning. This can include assessing for a learning disability such as a specific reading disability (dyslexia) or a specific math disability (dyscalculia). The results can assist in academic programs, planning interventions, developing teaching strategies, and requesting accommodations. These evaluations include a standardized academic achievement, intellectual, and auditory processing assessment, a review of medical and educational records, and a parent interview.

Emotional/Behavioral Evaluations

Emotional/behavioral evaluations can determine how a child or adolescent's emotional adjustment and behavioral functioning influences their academic and or social interactions with others. This can include assessing behavioral, personality, and executive functioning to assess for Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), Oppositional Defiant Disorder (ODD), Conduct Disorder, anxiety, or depression. These evaluations include a standardized academic achievement assessment, projective testing, behavioral observations, self-report, parent, and teacher rating scales, and a student and parent interview.

Insurances Accepted:

Cigna, United, AvMed, Aetna, Florida Blue, and Humana. Behavioral health services under health insurance plans may cover the cost of an evaluation that can diagnose behavioral disorders such as Autism, ADHD, anxiety, or depression, but usually will not cover the cost if there is a learning challenge such as a learning disability.
